Yes, Shepherdsfield is now taking applications for people who might have a desire to experience Christian intentional community as described in the Book of Acts.

We know that many people may not wish to commit themselves to something long-term, but have reached a place in their Christian journey in which they yearn for something more authentic and different from traditional forms of Christianity. If you can arrange for some time this fall or winter for a short-term residency at Shepherdsfield, then contact us right away.

We have some available residential units for singles or family housing. And we could use various skills – for which your expenses could be taken care of, or depending on the nature of your residency or skills you might qualify for some modest income.

We have cottage industries – including construction, window washing, powerwashing, painting, etc. And we have a bakery, dog grooming and boarding, a school, music program, various needs for clerical and accounting skills, kitchen, gardening, agriculture, printing and publishing, graphic arts and such. We could work together to see what might be the best fit for you during your stay.

We are asking that you be a professing Christian and with traditional moral values that have been historically associated with such a confession. Other questions could be answered in a visit or by phone interview.
